Greetings to all in greater Brooke Smith! We hope you are well.

After a pandemic hiatus, the Montie Beach Civic Club will have our next general meeting via Zoom on Thursday, August 6, at 7:00 pm .

Join us for quick updates from:

• Arturo Gutierrez, Chair of Dia de los Muertos Heights celebration

• Luis Garcia, METRO Public Affairs, on the Cavalcade bike lane project and our Welcome to Brooke Smith sign

The updates will be followed by a presentation from:

• Peter Eccles, Transportation Planner, City of Houston Planning and Development Department, on other nearby bikeway projects, followed by an overview of where the city stands now on the North Houston Highway Improvement Project(I-45 renovation), including an explanation of the mayor's letter to TxDOT.
